Eugene Antonio Thompson. He was baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost at the age of 12 in Beaumont, Texas, under the pastorship of the late Rev R.D. Carrington Sr., at Emmanuel Baptist Church.
He acknowledged the calling to ministry in January 1994 at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church in Midway, Kentucky. He was licensed in ministry at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church on April 26th, 1996. He was ordained in ministry at Mount Vernon Missionary Baptist Church on February 27th, 2000. With his wife Tiffany Thompson, they have two wonderful children. Pastor Thompson has attended Kentucky State University, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, The Presbyterian Theological Seminary, and is currently pursuing two Ph.D.’s: one from The University of Kentucky and a second one from Bellarmine University
Pastor Thompson’s Pastoral Mission Statement: I faithfully preach and teach God’s Word. God’s mission is to redeem the lost from their sin and edify a body of believers committed to living as disciples of Christ in this turbulent time. God’s Word will go forth and never return void. While I am able, I desire to bring all people into the Living God’s saving knowledge and be a helpful resource to those who turn to Jesus Christ. I am committed to helping God’s church to become and stay relevant in this present time, while staying focused on its divine mandate. Our church aims to bring Jesus Christ to every area of the human experience, first to our members, and secondly to all who will answer God’s call of salvation through the love of Jesus
Christ as it was expressed on Golgotha’s Hill.
